Fell Walking

We make no apology for saying that this is what the Lake District is all about. The mountains and fells of the National Park include the most spectacular scenery England has to offer and we would be delighted to accompany you on a walk to any of England's highest tops. Don't be put off by the scale of the big mountains though - we would be just as pleased to show you a fantastic route, in mountain scenery, with a bit less physical challenge.

We love to walk on the high fells and our back yard includes Coniston Old Man, Dow Crag and Swirl How but on the quiet, we prefer Caw to Skiddaw any day of the week. Big mountains days, smaller hill or valley walks - Active Lakes has the knowledge and experience to help you make the most of your time in the Lake District.

With our range of qualifications and experience we have what it takes to make your walking holiday as safe and enjoyable as it can be. Here are some example walking routes but remember - these are just a few of the almost countless possibilities:

Levers Water

This is a really nice view of Levers Water, near Coniston. If you would like to visit for real, give us a call and we can take you there, perhaps on the way back from the Summit of Coniston Old Man.
